"All people with a tiny bit of sense get depressed in this country", says Patricia in "The Last Yankee". Two men - a carpenter and a successful self-employed business owner - visit their wives, who both are patients in a mental hospital. Why has life become so unbearable for them?

Based on the comic book series of the same name by Masahide Motohashi.

Follows a boy who has lost all hope in life and encounters a group of "Showa Ghost Yankees" with unique personalities.

Saburo Okouchi (Hideo Ishiguro), is your somewhat shy, but otherwise average, teen entering high school. Unfortunately for Saburo, his two older brothers left a looming legacy at the high school. His brothers were legendary troublemakers and now Saburo takes the crown of "elite yankee."

The story follows the adventures of Aang, a young successor to a long line of Avatars, who must put his childhood ways aside and stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water, Earth and Air nations.

Under the oppressive Japanese colonial rule, Deok-hye, the last Princess of the declining Joseon Dynasty, is forced to move to Japan. She spends her days missing home, while struggling to maintain dignity as a princess. After a series of failed tries, Deok-hye makes her final attempt to return home with help of her childhood sweetheart, Jang-han.

From a riddle-speaking butterfly, a unicorn learns that she is supposedly the last of her kind, all the others having been herded away by the Red Bull. The unicorn sets out to discover the truth behind the butterfly's words. She is eventually joined on her quest by Schmendrick, a second-rate magician, and Molly Grue, a now middle-aged woman who dreamed all her life of seeing a unicorn. Their journey leads them far from home, all the way to the castle of King Haggard.

The plot explores the devastation of civilization and issues of brutality, hostility and isolation. Pierre Jolivet stars as the main character (identified only as "The Man" in the end credits) who is menaced by "The Brute" (played by Jean Reno) on his journey through a world filled by people rendered nearly mute by some unknown incident.

A WWII veteran escapes his care home in Northern Ireland and embarks on an arduous but inspirational journey to France to attend the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings, finding the courage to face the ghosts of his past.
